SQL Developer III 📍 Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid – Remote)About the Role:We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to support a high-profile tactical communications project. This role focuses on optimizing and modernizing high-performance Microsoft SQL Server databases while ensuring scalability, security, and high availability. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL Server 2022, advanced T-SQL development, and database performance tuning.Important Note✅ Candidates must provide examples of:SQL Development workPerformance optimization of database objectsRoles and permissions managementA portfolio, project summary, or work examples should be included with the resume.Interview Process:1–2 Virtual Interviews30 Minutes EachHiring Manager and Team DiscussionKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimize high-performance database objects.Create and maintain stored procedures, functions (UDFs), and triggers.Monitor and improve database performance using SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and Query Store.Support high-availability database environments.Refactor and modernize legacy databases utilizing modern SQL Server features.Manage database security, roles, and permissions.Collaborate within Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle.Prepare technical specifications and support QA and release activities.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field.5+ years of SQL Development experience.Strong expertise with Microsoft SQL Server 2022.Advanced T-SQL programming skills.Experience with physical database design and storage optimization.Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting.Knowledge of high-availability solutions.Experience managing SQL security, roles, and permissions.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.If you have strong SQL Server expertise and enjoy solving complex database performance challenges, we'd love to hear from you!
