SME SQL Developer

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an SME SQL Developer for a prominent client of ours.  This position is located in Seattle, WA (Open to remote work but must be local to Seattle Metro area).  Details of the position are as follows:Job Details:3 - 6-month assignment, possibility of conversion based upon performance. Monday - Friday, standard hours, remote. SME SQL Developer Contractor to join a high-profile project. In this role, you will be responsible for improving high-performance database objects, maintaining transaction volumes and ensuring that our high availability solution is optimized and documented. You will be an integral part of an Agile team, supporting the full product development lifecycle. This includes preparing functional and design specifications, overseeing the development process, and handing off deliverables to the Quality Assurance Team. You will be accountable for your individual deliverables during Sprints and will collaborate directly with management, other developers, and cross-functional technical teams to manage release expectations and ensure specifications are met. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree is required. 5+ years of experience in SQL Development. Advanced MS SQL Server - deep knowledge of SQL 2022 highly preferred. Advanced T-SQL Development - capable of writing performing stored procedures, UDFs, and triggers. Physical database design including optimization of storage. Performance: SQL profiler, Extended Events and Query Store. High Availability Support. Modernization: refactor legacy databases utilizing modern SQL Features. Telecommunications/defense industry experience preferred.
