Senior Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour.Job ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, receivables, payables, and payroll related entries. Lead month end, quarter end, and year end close processes and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to maintain accurate financial records. Support system transition efforts by assisting with data validation, testing, and process improvement initiatives. Partner with cross functional teams to support reporting, inventory tracking, and special projects as needed. RequirementsA Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with certification. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a professional environment. A strong understanding of accounting standards and general ledger processes. Previous experience with accounting systems, including familiarity with both small business and enterprise platforms. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within a fast paced and evolving environment. QualificationsPrior experience working with inventory or product based accounting environments. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data. Hands on work style with the ability to execute tasks independently.
