People Operations Manager (Paylocity A Must!)
Please Read: This is a hybrid role (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) in office and (Wednesday and Friday) remote. Unfortunately, this is non-negotiable.We are seeking a highly strategic and hands-on People Operations Manager with deep expertise in Paylocity HRIS administration and optimization. This individual will serve as both a functional leader and system owner, ensuring Paylocity is fully leveraged to support the employee lifecycle, enhance data-driven decision-making, and scale People Operations effectively.This role plays a critical part in shaping and executing People strategies by aligning systems, processes, and data with broader organizational goals while delivering a seamless and high-quality employee experience.Key ResponsibilitiesHRIS Strategy & Paylocity Ownership (Primary Focus)Act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for Paylocity across the organizationLead the configuration, optimization, and ongoing evolution of Paylocity to support all phases of the employee lifecycle (hire to retire)Establish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and scalability of HR dataDesign and deliver advanced reporting, dashboards, and workforce analytics to support executive decision-makingIdentify and implement automation and workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and employee experienceServe as the escalation point for HRIS issues, system improvements, and vendor managementPeople Operations LeadershipOversee and continuously improve core People Operations processes, including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and organizational changesPartner with leadership to drive operational excellence and employee experience initiativesAct as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR systems, policies, and processesDevelop and maintain scalable documentation, SOPs, and internal resourcesData, Analytics & ComplianceTranslate HR data into actionable insights to inform workforce planning and business strategyMonitor trends, identify gaps, and recommend data-driven improvementsEnsure compliance with all HR regulations, reporting requirements, and audit readinessMaintain strong documentation and data practices aligned with company policiesPayroll & Benefits PartnershipCollaborate closely with Payroll and Benefits teams to ensure seamless integration of HRIS dataSupport benefits administration and vendor coordination where neededEnsure all employee data changes are accurately reflected and communicated for payroll processingProjects & Continuous ImprovementLead and contribute to People Operations initiatives and cross-functional projectsDrive process improvement efforts, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and employee experienceSupport leadership with presentations, reporting, and strategic initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred4–6+ years of experience in People Operations, HRIS, or HR Operations roles3+ years of hands-on Paylocity administration experience (required)Proven experience managing HR systems, employee lifecycle workflows, and reporting/analyticsExperience supporting payroll and benefits processes within an HRIS environmentAdvanced proficiency in Excel and data/reporting toolsKey SkillsDeep expertise in Paylocity configuration, optimization, and reportingStrong analytical and data-driven mindsetExceptional attention to detail and commitment to data integrityStrong stakeholder management and internal customer service orientationAbility to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsProcess-driven with a focus on scalability and continuous improvement
