Environmental Health Safety Specialist

As our HSE Specialist, you will lead initiatives that protect our people, strengthen our safety culture, and ensure regulatory excellence. You will champion a safe and healthy workplace, ensuring full compliance with legal, corporate, and international management system standards (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).Key Activities & ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will: Ensure compliance & system excellenceMaintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly HSE metrics.Manage HSE information systems within the corporate network.Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, leading audits and continuous improvement projects. Strengthen safety cultureCoach leadership and employees at all levels on HSE responsibilities.Facilitate organizational development initiatives to address root causes of environmental and safety issues.Lead safety committee initiatives and enforce use of PPE.Risk Management & Incident ResponseConduct safety and environmental risk assessments.Lead incident investigations and drive closure of corrective and preventive actions.Coordinate emergency drills and respond to on‑site emergencies when needed.Training & ComplianceDeliver and coordinate HSE training programs for all employees.Oversee contractor safety orientation.Ensure timely submission of reports to corporate and legal entities. Records & AdministrationMaintain accurate records of inspections, training, and incidents.Manage workers’ compensation cases in coordination with approved medical providers.Oversee chemical/material approval process and recycling programs.Additional DutiesPrepare the annual HSE department budget.Support off‑shift activities when required.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications & SkillsRequiredAssociates degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HSE role.OSHA 40-hour certification.Certified internal auditor for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.Strong communication, critical thinking, and incident investigation skills.Proficiency with MS Office and cloud-based systems.PreferredCSP, CIH, or other HSE certifications.Experience leading successful HSE management system implementations.What We OfferAt Dauch Automotive, you’ll enjoy:A global, high‑performance environment where your work has direct impactOpportunities for career development and trainingA culture rooted in safety, respect, and continuous improvementThe chance to contribute to groundbreaking mobility technologiesCollaboration with world‑class experts and industry leadersBe part of something bigger.
