Bevi is passionate about driving environmental impact and providing a superior beverage experience.Role DescriptionBevi is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Beverage Co-Op to serve as a critical resource, supporting the Beverage R&D team. Reporting to the Director of Beverage R&D, this role will be based in Boston and is instrumental in the development, testing, and validation of our beverage products while also ensuring the operational quality compliance and technical readiness of our production systems and inputs. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on laboratory environment and is adept at managing logistics and supporting technical processes in a fast-paced setting.Start Date : 07/18/2026End Date : 12/18/2026What You’ll Do:Product Development SupportPrepare bench-top prototypes following established formulas and instructions.Accurately measure/weigh ingredients, operate lab equipment, and meticulously document all formulation changes and findings.Prepare and organize samples for sensory panels, customer demonstrations, and internal reviews.Assist in small-scale and pilot-scale batching and processing trials, collecting samples for analytical and sensory evaluation.Quality Assurance & Retain ManagementSupport the execution of the retain inspection process, sensory checks and shelf-life spec checks (pH/Brix) in addition to visual inspection ensuring the physical organization and integrity of all retained samples.Support routine analytical tests including pH, Brix, titration, viscosity, color, and carbonation.Set up and monitor real-time and accelerated shelf-life studies.Lab Operations & LogisticsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, following all safety, GMP procedures and sanitization processesMaintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot essential lab equipment; prepare reagents/solutions; and ensure lab SOPs are followed consistently.Track stock of ingredients, chemicals, packaging, and consumables; manage COAs, expiration dates, reorder triggers, and proper storage/labeling.Manage external lab testing submissions, including the creation and receipt of Purchase Orders (POs) for lab services.Own the completion of lab submission forms and coordinate sample drop-offs with external laboratories.What We’re Looking For:Pursuing or completing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field.0–2 years experience in a food/beverage lab or Quality Control (QC) environment.Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively across dual-reporting responsibilities.Curiosity and willingness to learn about beverage science, flavors, the process of batching/blending and packaging products and quality processes along the wayStrong foundational understanding of basic lab techniques and analytical equipment.Exceptional attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and organizational capabilities.Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time (accommodations can be made as needed).
