Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. This opportunity is focused on supporting three medically fragile classrooms, working alongside another experienced SLP and a dedicated SLPA. The assignment begins August 10, 2026, and is anticipated to continue through December 2026, with the potential for extension through the school year. This position is covering a maternity leave, allowing you to contribute within a supportive, collaborative environment while further developing your expertise.Key QualificationsValid SLP-CCC and credentials for school-based speech-language pathology in CaliforniaClinical experience in elementary school settings, particularly with medically fragile studentsProficiency and hands-on work with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devicesStrong communication, collaboration, and documentation skillsPrimary ResponsibilitiesProvide direct and consultative speech therapy to students in medically fragile classroomsConduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progressCollaborate closely with classroom staff, another SLP, and a SLPA for coordinated careEducate and support teachers and families on AAC device use and communication strategiesMaintain compliance with IEP goals, state, and district requirementsParticipate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as neededThis role offers a weekly schedule of approximately 32.5–35 hours, allowing you to maintain professional balance while pursuing your passion for service.
