Occupational Therapist School Setting in Los Banos, CA

Job Description Master&#39;s degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to support student needs within a school setting in Los Banos, CA. This role involves implementing therapeutic interventions designed to improve students functional abilities, participation, and independence in educational environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with pediatric populations and possess the skills necessary to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other service providers.Key Responsibilities:Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plansDeliver direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily livingCollaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support integrated service delivery and achieve educational goalsDocument treatment plans, progress notes, and reports in compliance with school district and regulatory requirementsParticipate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute clinical expertise toward student goal planningQualifications and Desired Experience:Valid Occupational Therapy license and credentials appropriate for practicing in CaliforniaExperience providing OT services in a school environment with pediatric clientsKnowledge of educational laws, including IDEA and Section 504 accommodationsStrong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teamsAbility to adapt treatment approaches to meet diverse student needs and learning environmentsLocation: Los Banos, CaliforniaJob Type: Contract School SettingThis position offers the opportunity to impact childrens educational and developmental progress through targeted occupational therapy support.
