Extrusion Technician 1 - 2nd shift

The Extrusion Technician is responsible for overseeing extruder operations, setting dies, and maintaining process parameters to ensure the production of high-quality products.They follow work instructions, document processes, and assist in training shift operators.Key duties include tooling setup, cleaning, inventory control, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in the work area.They must communicate quality or process issues promptly and support compliance with industry certifications.Additional responsibilities include cross-training as a Punch Technician, performing grinding duties, and performing other assigned tasks.Success requires understanding extrusion processes, interpreting shop orders, maintaining safety PPE, and possessing good communication skills.Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and basic computer skills.Prior forklift experience and attention to detailed inspections are preferred.Wearing PPE is mandatory, and employment is contingent on passing background checks.
