Processing Technician II (Injection Molding)Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Processing Technician II to support injection molding operations by performing machine start-ups, troubleshooting processing issues, and ensuring product quality. This role acts as a key liaison between Production and Process Engineering while supporting quality, safety, and compliance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesStart up injection molding machines following mold/material changes, repairs, or maintenanceTroubleshoot and resolve processing issues to maintain optimal production performanceMonitor process parameters and ensure alarms and controls are functioning properlySubmit first-piece samples for quality inspection and approvalPerform material changes and manage regrind/scrap processesSupport automation troubleshooting and resolve equipment alarmsAccurately record downtime and scrap data in process monitoring systems (e.g., Mattec)Collaborate with Engineering to maintain and improve process documentationParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and technical discussionsMaintain clean and organized work areas (5S standards)Ensure compliance with Quality, EHS, and regulatory requirementsAssist in audit readiness and documentation updatesDevelop work instructions and training materials as neededRequirementsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in injection moldingSolid understanding of scientific molding principlesKnowledge of DOE (Design of Experiments) and SPC (Statistical Process Control)Ability to work independently and in team environmentsStrong communication and organizational skillsProficiency with computers and production systemsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilitiesExcellent mechanical aptitudePreferred Qualifications3+ years of experience as a Process/Processing TechnicianAdvanced training or certification in injection moldingEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)
