CNC Operator
Summary/ObjectiveThe CNC Operator is responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts to specification. This role involves loading materials, running production cycles, and monitoring machine performance to identify and address issues such as worn or damaged tooling. The CNC Operator supports production efficiency by running jobs accurately, communicating effectively with team members, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Essential FunctionsPerforms all assigned machine shop operationsDetects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to managementMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety proceduresRegularly performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding tasksProduce parts according to approved drawings from Samson ControlsCompletes and maintains paperwork for partsRework nonconforming inventory itemsTest and measure parts produced at Samson Controls and items from vendorsComply with Samson Controls documented policies, procedures and objectivesSetup and operate CNC Lathe to make product to Prints specificationsMust be willing and able to work Monday-Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and overtime as neededQualificationsAbility to read/understand written instructions (English language)Ability to read/understand technical drawings and specificationsMechanical skills (proper use of hand measuring tools, automated measuring devices)Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDEligible to work in the United States without sponsorshipMin. of 3 years of experience setting up and running CNC Mill with 4 axis experience in Mill requiredSAMSON Controls Inc. is part of the SAMSON Group which is comprised of SAMSON AG, global SAMSON sales subsidiaries, and sixteen manufacturing companies that provide flow control solutions to leading processing companies worldwide.
