Network Engineer

Location: Skaneateles, NYJob Type: Contract (1099/B2B) DispatchCompensation: Competitive Hourly RateWe are seeking an experienced Smart Hands Network Engineer to support onsite network infrastructure dispatch activities at a client location in Skaneateles, NY. This is a contract opportunity for engineers with strong hands-on networking experience and a valid CCNA certification.Responsibilities:Install, replace, and decommission network equipmentPerform rack & stack activities for network hardwareTrace, label, and patch copper and fiber cablingInstall and replace Cisco switches, routers, and related hardwareProvide onsite Smart Hands support to remote network engineering teamsPerform console access, device validation, and basic network troubleshootingVerify hardware connectivity and assist with implementation activitiesDocument completed work and communicate project statusRequired Qualifications:Active CCNA certification (Required)Experience with Cisco switches, routers, and enterprise networking equipmentHands-on experience with rack & stack, structured cabling, and hardware replacementKnowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and basic network troubleshootingExperience working in Smart Hands, Field Services, Data Center, or Network Support environmentsAbility to follow implementation plans and work independently onsiteStrong communication and documentation skillsRequired Tools (Must Have):Laptop with administrative accessConsole cableMobile hotspotLabel makerRack screwsRequired SFP modules (as applicable)Fiber patch cordsEthernet patch cordsBasic hand toolsCompensation & Payment:Competitive hourly rate1099/B2B independent contractor engagementMonthly invoicing based on approved hours worked and completed activitiesPayment processed within Net 15 days after invoice approvalThis is an onsite contract opportunity with confirmed project work.
