Staff AccountantLocation: Corona, CA Work Arrangement: Onsite Pay Rate: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour (DOE)Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and dependable Staff Accountant with a construction background to support our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and hands‑on experience working in an ERP environment.Must‑Have QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience as a Staff AccountantConstruction industry experience requiredERP system experience (Sageor or Microsoft Dynamics)Bachelor's degree in AccountingSpanish proficiency preferredAdditional QualificationsHigh level of confidentiality and integrityStrong understanding of GAAP and accounting principlesExcellent organizational and time‑management skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and work independentlyHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and OutlookKey ResponsibilitiesPerform general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and GAAP complianceConduct daily and monthly cash flow reviews and monitor variancesMaintain records of taxes, liabilities, assets, and other financial dataAssist with month‑end and year‑end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliationsReconcile monthly bank statementsPrepare and file sales and use tax returnsRecord payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll‑related accountsCoordinate and process quarterly on‑site inventory countsAssist with budget preparation and forecastingPrepare and maintain financial spreadsheets and reportsAssist with audits, reporting, and special accounting projectsCross‑train and assist with payroll functions as neededSupport additional accounting duties as assignedWhy Join UsThis role offers hands‑on exposure to construction accounting operations and the opportunity to contribute to a stable, collaborative, and detail‑driven accounting team.
