We are seeking skilled and flexible Locum Nurse Practitioners to support healthcare services across Kentucky. Key Responsibilities: Perform one-time Compensation & Pension exams as well as Separation Health Assessments. Conduct primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. Ensure accurate, timely completion of reports and addendums. Work independently, utilizing your clinical knowledge to deliver quality evaluations. Required Skills: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky. Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family practice, or orthopedic surgery. Strong assessment skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to conduct thorough interviews and physical examinations. Ability to work independently, manage documentation efficiently, and adhere to deadlines. Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with Compensation & Pension or military-related health assessments. Certification in specific modalities relevant to physical assessment. Familiarity with government or VA healthcare systems. Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP). Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience in general medicine or related fields. Experience performing exam-based assessments for veteran or military clients is a plus. Other Requirements: Must have own office location within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY, to perform evaluations. Willingness to work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day or full-day shifts. Ability to complete all required training, including onboarding procedures. Travel is included in the rate structure, and candidates should provide their own licensure and certifications.
