Cisco Network Engineer - AWS & Firewall Solutions Expert

USAN, an Atlanta-based company with nationwide operations, is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Operations team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will troubleshoot connectivity issues across routers, switches, firewalls, Internet circuits, VPN, DMVPN, and private MPLS connections.USAN's network environment is built primarily on Cisco technologies. Candidates should understand internal network segmentation, least-privileged access, and modern network security design principles. Proficiency in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting access control rules on Cisco firewalls is essential.Professional Experience3 to 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Cisco-based networks, firewalls, switches, and routersNetworking and Technical ExpertiseExperience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting routed and switched corporate networks using Cisco routers and Layer-2/Layer-3 switchesStrong proficiency with Cisco ASA and Cisco Firepower security platformsFamiliarity with routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, DMVPN, and RIPHands-on experience with AWS networking services such as VPC, Security Groups, routing, and VPNExperience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Network Access Control (NAC) systems such as Cisco ISE or FortiNACProficiency with Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systemsStrong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Change Management and ITIL practicesAbility to document network architecture, procedures, and engineering standardsExperience using diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similarTechnical ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, test, and troubleshoot USAN's routers, switches, and firewallsProduce network diagrams, IP engineering documentation, and related technical materialsProgram and troubleshoot Layer-2 and Layer-3 switching hardwareProgram and troubleshoot Cisco routing equipmentDesign, deploy, and troubleshoot firewall connectivity including access control rules, VPN, DMVPN, MPLS, and wireless technologiesParticipate in and follow established change management proceduresProvide third-level support for all network and firewall-related issuesPerform additional duties as assigned by department leadershipOrganizational RequirementsWorks effectively in a collaborative engineering environmentMaintains professionalism during customer-impacting eventsDependable during normal business hours as well as scheduled and emergency maintenance windowsAble to manage multiple priorities and meet goals set by Lead Engineers and ManagementEducational BackgroundBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering or technical disciplineJob BenefitsHealthcare benefits401(k) planPaid company holidaysPaid vacationBusiness casual work environmentAnnual performance-based bonus programUnited States Advanced Network, Inc.
