Senior Network Engineer

Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join a dynamic, fast-paced environment where initiative and problem-solving are critical. This role is ideal for someone who has worked in smaller or less siloed organizations and is comfortable taking ownership, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving solutions end-to-end.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructureLead hands-on work with switching and routing technologies, including deployment and integrationManage and support Cisco and Meraki environments (switches, routers, access points)Work extensively with Cisco Nexus platforms in production environmentsConfigure and troubleshoot BGP routing across network environmentsImplement and support Layer 2 networking, including VLANs and Spanning TreeCollaborate closely with systems and infrastructure teams to support hybrid environmentsSupport and maintain networking within VMware virtualized environments, including:Distributed switchesPort groupsVM networking configurationsAssist with troubleshooting performance, connectivity, and infrastructure issues across on-prem and cloudContribute to documentation, process improvements, and overall network reliabilityRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar roleStrong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including NexusProven experience with:Routing & switching (implementation, configuration, troubleshooting)BGP (required)Layer 2 technologies, VLANs, and Spanning TreeExperience working in lean or small-team environments where engineers wear multiple hatsSolid understanding of VMware networking, including distributed virtual switches and port groupsExperience collaborating with systems/infrastructure teamsExposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platformsStrong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independentlyPreferred QualificationsCCNP certification (or equivalent experience)Experience with network design and architectureBackground working in an MSP, ISP, or service provider environmentBroader cloud networking knowledge (Azure preferred)What We’re Looking ForA self-starter who can “take the ball and run with it”Someone comfortable being the go-to person for network challengesStrong communicator who can work cross-functionally with systems and cloud teamsHands-on engineer who thrives in less structured, fast-moving environmentsNote: This position is open to direct applicants only.
