You’ll partner with internal teams and client contacts to deliver seamless execution, creative solutions, and a superior client experience.Why Alera GroupMeaningful Impact - Help clients and employees navigate benefits programs that drive retention, engagement, and satisfactionGrowth & Learning - Opportunities to deepen your expertise and gain exposure to a variety of clients and industriesCollaborative Culture - Work in a team-oriented environment that values accountability, partnership, and the principles of The Collaborative WayResponsibilitiesClient Partnership & Advisory SupportServe as the primary day‑to‑day contact for assigned employee benefits clientsManage a portfolio of approximately 12–16 clients representing a growing book of businessPartner with Consultants to manage ongoing client relationships and maintain regular communication with client HR teamsResolve day‑to‑day service issues with clients and vendor partners to ensure timely executionSupport proactive service planning aligned with the Client Lifecycle/Pathway processOperational & Compliance ExcellenceExecute and manage key client deliverables, ensuring accuracy and on‑time completionLead or support Request for Proposal (RFP) processes in partnership with AnalystsReview contracts, plan documents, Summary Plan Descriptions, and compliance materials for accuracy and timely distributionPrepare and deliver compliance‑related materials to client HR teamsTriage requests across internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient project executionPerform quality reviews on work completed by Analysts or other team membersGrowth & RetentionContribute to client presentations and renewal strategy discussionsIdentify opportunities to improve service delivery, enhance the client experience, and support book‑of‑business growthStay current on employee benefits trends, legislation, products, technology, and market developmentsServe as a mentor and resource to Analysts, supporting technical development and team growthQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience2+ years of experience in a client‑facing account management or support role within employee benefits or insuranceFor Senior Account Manager consideration - 4+ years of experience with deeper technical expertise and client ownershipActive State Life & Health insurance licenseStrong technical knowledge of employee benefits and plan administrationExcellent communication and relationship‑management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environmentPreferredExperience supporting mid‑market or complex employee benefits clientsStrong understanding of compliance deliverables and benefits documentationExperience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior team membersExposure to fully insured, level‑funded, and self‑funded plansCore CompetenciesDetail orientation and quality focusAccountability and follow‑throughCollaborative mindsetClient‑first thinkingStrong organizational and communication skillsBusiness acumen and problem‑solving capabilityAdditional InformationCompensation -Salary range - $80,000 – $110,000 per year, based on experience.Eligible for performance-based bonus - YesBenefits -Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, 401(k), generous PTO, and more.Work Model -This role is HybridProfessional Development – Alera Group AcademyAt Alera Group, growth isn’t left to chance.
