Senior Controls Engineer - Thermo Power

Job Overview An opportunity is available for an experienced engineering professional who is eager to grow while contributing to the development of high-performing control systems software and automation solutions. This role supports complex control system implementations for thermal power facilities and offers the chance to work on technically challenging, large-scale projects. You will join a Thermal Power Engineering team responsible for delivering fully integrated control system solutions for power generation facilities across North America. The team specializes in modernizing existing plants through advanced distributed control systems and provides end-to-end support, including engineering design, project coordination, system testing, and on-site commissioning. Key Responsibilities Lead application design and engineering execution for thermal power control system projects Manage technical delivery throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring quality outcomes and client satisfaction Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering challenges Contribute as a subject matter expert within specialized technical groups Create, maintain, and monitor engineering execution plans, including monthly project reporting Identify opportunities to enhance products, tools, and engineering processes Provide technical guidance and leadership to architectural/engineering partners and customers to address system requirements and challenges What You Bring A proactive, customer-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and exceed expectations Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across teams Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline Minimum of five years of relevant engineering experience Hands-on experience designing control systems using PLC and/or DCS platforms Background in the power generation industry Willingness to travel up to 25% within North America Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering Work Environment & Benefits This organization is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace where employees are encouraged to innovate, collaborate, and grow professionally.
