This role is for Machinist-Career (Swing) and we are looking for candidates to collaborate with Tellus Solutions to create innovative solutions and to fulfill on our client's mission.The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located on Client's campus in Santa Rosa, CA exists to provide mechanical solutions that enable the capabilities of Client's industry leading electronic measurement equipment.As a machinist you will develop and sustain machining processes utilizing cutting edge machine tools such as Swiss Style Lathes, Single and Multi-Turret Lathes, and 3 to 5 axis Milling centers.Working closely with R&D on microwave applications, you will influence designs for mechanical components and assemblies, ensure design for manufacturability, facilitate release and support production.SkillsClient is looking for a highly motivated individual with desire to learn advanced machining skills. This position will require a Career level Machinist with a knack for precision and detail.Must have the willingness to learn, strong teamwork, positive attitude, dedication and job flexibility are a must. In addition, you will interface with Engineering, Maintenance, and Management as well as production/NPI Schedulers.ExperienceExperience with any/all the following is highly desired:3 to 5 axis MillingSwiss Style LathesMill/Turn Machine CenterAdvanced MetrologyCNC Programming/CAM Programming SoftwareCAD/Solid ModelingTool GrindingInterpreting specifications including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)EducationHigh School DiplomaAssociates Degree or Journeyman Machinist certification a plus.
