Follow @Kennametal: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.Maintenance Technician ExperiencedLocation: Bedford,PAShift: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:00PMShift Premium eligible + 2 weeks PTO + Subsidized healthcare starts day 1Purpose Of The PositionPerform predictive/preventive maintenance analysis to anticipate and circumvent equipment failures, enhancing uptime and reducing costsKnowledge And ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED;Preferred Bachelor’s degree with focus in Electrical or Controls Engineering;5-10yrs years’ experience preferred as CNC Maintenance Technician;Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals and electric motors and controls;Preferred knowledge SAP-PM and Step 7;Knowledge and ability of rigging equipment and components.Key Job Responsibilities Has full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures (or deep skills in a single area) through job-related training and considerable work experience;Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience;Typically has specialized external certification;Guides and supports junior team members; may assist in their formal orientation and training;May have specialized external certification;Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical);Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield;Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance);Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems;Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures;Prepare for new/relocated equipment installations by sizing, wiring, piping, ventilation, etc. according to incoming equipment requirements;Receive, rig, unload, transport, install, assemble, troubleshoot, and fine tune new/relocated equipment;Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on existing equipment;Assist engineers in identifying worn or damaged parts that may be needed to complete the repair;Interface with and assist outside contractors, OEM’s and Technology Process Support groups, in all attempts to install new and repair or upgrade existing processes;Safely handle hazardous materials and hazardous wastes; Interface with in-plant Computerized Machine Maintenance System to show status of work and time spent on job.
