Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Summary Seeking a self-motivated Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Designer to support the delivery of detailed design packages for medium to large-scale projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. Projects include both new construction and renovations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system drawings.Assist with specifications, feasibility studies, and site analyses.Perform load calculations and building pressurization plans.Support HVAC controls, BMS development, and energy modeling.Participate in construction phase tasks: submittals, RFIs, and site visits.Travel as needed for project execution and client coordination.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.Experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design.Knowledge of IMC, IPC, IECC codes, and heat load calculations.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Technical SkillsProficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, and MS Office.Experience with EnergyPro, HAP Carrier, Trane Trace 700.Familiarity with CA Title 24 and basic electrical concepts.Hydratec for Revit is a plus.
