Maintenance Technician

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation by maintaining and repairing plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This is a hands-on, multi-craft role working across mechanical systems, electrical components, and PLC-controlled equipment.This opportunity is with a well-established manufacturer that has been in operation for over a century, growing from a small family-run business into a nationally distributed product line. The company continues to invest in new equipment, automation, and facility improvements-creating a stable environment with long-term growth potential.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and repair plant equipment to ensure reliable operationTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systemsPerform and document preventative maintenance to reduce downtimeRead and interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical drawingsInstall and repair electrical systems (110V, 220V, 440V and low voltage controls)Support equipment changeovers, line startups, and production needsOrder and replace parts as neededWork with motors, relays, sensors, drives, timers, and control systemsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentFollow all safety, GMP, and food safety standardsQualifications:5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environmentsStrong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systemsExperience working with PLC-controlled equipmentAbility to read wiring diagrams and technical drawingsExperience with processing or packaging equipment preferredWelding, fabrication, or refrigeration experience is a plusStrong communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentWork Environment & Requirements:Ability to support a 24/7 operation, including weekends or off-shifts as neededAbility to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in tight spacesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 75 lbs occasionallyExposure to a manufacturing environment with moving equipment and moderate to high noiseWhy This Opportunity:Long-standing, stable company with consistent growthContinued investment in modern equipment and automationTeam-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
