Production Supervisor

We are constantly in pursuit of better patient care and understand that speed is critical because life cannot wait.The Handles/Molding Supervisor is responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing setting who are operating CNC and injection molding machines to produce machined parts. This effort includes, but is not limited to, plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. This individual works with operators and other departments to ensure products are being made up to company standards and timeline goals.Essential Functions:CNC machining and Injection molding experience preferredWorks from a production schedule to execute throughput of high-volume components and plan the use of resourcesFollows up on set ups, scheduling operators, review production status, troubleshoot equipment, ensure quality and deliveryCoordinates production within the department. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find solutions with production bottlenecks is neededWorks efficiently to achieve targeted goals as set by the production scheduleAbility to train employees and oversee operatorsAble to hold employees accountable with regards to discipline and adherence to company rules and policiesUses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirementsAbility to setup, program, operate and troubleshoot CNC without assistanceAbility to reduce setup time and machining through process improvementsProficient with FANUC controls, HAAS controls, or Mazak controlsUnderstands, interprets and edits G-code programsRecognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and toolingUnderstands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsetsPerforms daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machineryAssists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environmentProvides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the departmentUtilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety proceduresComplies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructionsCommunicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and managementAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policiesEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your roleRepresents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third partiesQualifications:Must have a high school diploma or equivalentPast experience training, developing, disciplining, reviewing and motivating employees is needed.Working knowledge of computers and computer systems5+ years machining experienceAt least 3 years of set up experience on CNC Mill/Turn or CNC Mill EquipmentBlueprint reading and first piece inspection knowledgeStrong planning skills, the ability to motivate others and resolve production issuesStrong supervision skillsGood listening skills, to be able to hear that the machine is operating smoothlyConceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Supply Management, Tooling, Coordination, Inventory Control, Attention to Detail, JudgmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailSelf-starterAdvanced critical thinking and problems-solving skillsProficiency in using Microsoft Office productsPhysical Demands:Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlRequired to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsRequired to possess specific vision abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus.Our Values:Our Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.Passionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
