Flatbed Printer Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled Flatbed Printer Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting flatbed printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in printing technology, graphic design, or manufacturing processes to contribute to innovative print solutions. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of color management, prepress operations, and quality control standards to ensure consistent output that meets client specifications. Duties Operate flatbed printing machinery with precision and attention to detail to produce various print projects. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on flatbed printers and related equipment to minimize downtime. Manage prepress tasks including layout design, color calibration, and ensuring files are print-ready using Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools. Conduct quality control inspections throughout the printing process to ensure color accuracy, image clarity, and adherence to specifications. Adjust machine settings based on material type, print design, and desired output quality. Collaborate with graphic designers and production staff to optimize print layouts and troubleshoot issues related to typography, layout design, or CNC machining processes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols and manufacturing standards. Assist in the setup of flexo presses or CNC equipment as needed for specialized projects. Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely when required for loading/unloading substrates. Skills Proven experience in screen printing, flexo press operation, or flatbed printing technologies. Strong knowledge of prepress workflows, color management techniques, and layout design principles. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for preparing print files. Familiarity with quality control procedures specific to manufacturing and print advertising industries. Understanding of CNC machining processes and typography considerations in print production. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues on printing equipment such as CNC machines or flexo presses. Experience with safety protocols related to manufacturing environments including forklift operation is a plus. Good problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and precision in high-volume production settings.
