Actual offers may be more or less than the amounts shown depending on candidate's qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors.Job Family DescriptionSite Security personnel safeguard individuals, property, information, and assets against potential threats and unwanted access. They monitor security systems and respond promptly to security incidents. They assess security and emergency risks and implement training and preventative measures. They ensure compliance with security procedures and requirements.Discipline DescriptionSecurity specialists design, implement and enhance security programs. They ensure compliance with government security standards and regulations, and conduct testing in accordance with established security policies and procedures.Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:Provide clerical, operational, and data analytical support to the Incident of Security Concern Program (IOSC), the Security of Incident Program Manager and/or Inquiry Officials ensuring proper tracking, reporting, and resolution of security incidents in compliance with DOE or NNSA regulations.Maintain incident records, schedule incident interviews, and assist with creation of official IOSC detailed reports.Manage and maintain accurate record keeping and proper storage of information. Update applicable security systems, incident logs, and personnel as requested in support to complete security investigations. Safeguard sensitive information with superior discretion and adhere to all security procedures and policies as required.Required Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field * Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered * Ability to Obtain and maintain Q Security ClearanceWe'd Also Like to SeeStrong attention to detail and critical thinking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication for reporting and interviewing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Familiarity with DOE regulations and policiesCareer BandProfessionalCareer Band Description*Roles in this band apply the knowledge in area of expertise to analyze information; design and develop new approaches, methodologies and processes; and, provide professional advice and guidance to others in accordance with professional quality standards *Applies a theoretical knowledge-base to work to achieve goals through own work *Characterized by specific functional expertise typically gained through formal education *May provide guidance to others as a project manager using technical expertiseCareer Level DescriptionRequires a working knowledge and experience in own field, while building knowledge of the company and customers, under a moderate level of guidance and direction.Security Clearance InformationSRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
