Now Hiring: 1st Shift Laser Operator – MLC Manufacturing (Spring Lake, MI) Hours: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Status: Full-Time | Hiring Immediately Company Overview: MLC Manufacturing is a fast-growing metal fabrication company in Spring Lake, MI, specializing in high-quality laser cutting and fabrication services. We are looking to add a motivated and reliable Laser Operator to our 1st shift team. Position: 1st Shift Laser Operator As a Laser Operator at MLC, you will work alongside one other operator to run two Bystronic Fiber Lasers equipped with auto-loaders. This is a hands-on role requiring teamwork, attention to detail, and strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor two Bystronic Fiber Lasers with auto-loading systems Work collaboratively with the other operator to keep machines running efficiently Ensure parts are cutting cleanly with minimal to no burrs Inspect cut quality and adjust as needed Organize and stage steel/material for upcoming jobs Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laser equipment Assist breakout/material handling teams with questions or support as needed Maintain safe and clean work environment Lift and move up to 50 lbs as required What We’re Looking For: Prior laser operating or metal fabrication experience preferred (Bystronic experience is a bonus) Mechanical aptitude and comfort operating industrial equipment Strong attention to quality and detail Dependability and a positive team-oriented attitude Ability to lift 50 lbs Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision 401(k) Full-time stable schedule, 3-day weekends Great team-oriented work environment Schedule: 1st Shift — Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM How to Apply: Apply in person or online.
