Role Description This part-time remote role as a Developer, Full Stack at c't magazin focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that support digital publishing products and internal tools. You will work across the full stack, implementing responsive user interfaces, integrating APIs, and optimizing back-end services for performance, scalability, and security. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, reviewing code from peers, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with editors, product managers, and designers to refine requirements. You will participate in planning and estimation, contribute to technical documentation, and help improve development workflows, testing practices, and deployment processes. The position offers flexibility in working hours while requiring reliable communication in a distributed, remote team environment.Qualifications Strong full-stack foundation, including Full-Stack Development and general Software Development skills, with experience building and deploying web applications end to end.Proficiency in Front-End Development, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), with a focus on accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.Experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks, with attention to performance, security, and reliability.Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines, along with good practices in code review and documentation.Ability to translate product requirements into technical solutions, work independently in a remote setting, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with content management systems, digital publishing platforms, or media environments is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
