Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant with our direct client, an on demand autonomous ride-hauling company in Foster City, CANo Third-Party, No Corp to Corp, No Sponsorship Now, Future or Temporary AuthorizationTitle: SP - Electrical Engineer - ServiceabilityLocation: Foster City, CA (Fully Onsite)Position Type: Contract, 6-12 months with likely extension Pay Rate: $71.10/hour Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PMJob SummaryOur client is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Serviceability to support Design for Serviceability initiatives for an autonomous vehicle platform. This role focuses on improving the diagnosability, maintainability, and repairability of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.The engineer will work cross-functionally with manufacturing, validation, product development, documentation, and field service teams to develop diagnostic strategies, troubleshooting tools, and repair procedures that improve overall vehicle serviceability.Key Responsibilities• Drive Design for Serviceability requirements across electronic control modules and vehicle I/O systems• Partner with manufacturing, validation, and engineering teams to improve serviceability of electrical and electromechanical systems• Develop and refine diagnostic, programming, troubleshooting, and repair procedures with service documentation teams• Evaluate hardware, firmware, and software compatibility, interchangeability, and replacement bring-up requirements• Support spare parts and data file release strategies through compatibility analysis• Design, develop, and validate onboard and offboard diagnostic tools used for diagnostic codes, alerts, I/O data, and control functions• Support wiring harness serviceability, including routing, connectors, terminals, retention features, and schematic development• Participate in requirements definition related to product reliability, availability, and serviceability• Identify and escalate serviceability or reliability deviations for resolutionRequired Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering• 2-4 years of relevant industry experience• Ability to read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, connector views, and pinouts• Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and vehicle communication/networking protocols• Ability to manage projects independently in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications• Experience with autonomous vehicle systems• Strong collaboration and troubleshooting skills• Detail-oriented with a focus on maintainability and diagnosticsInterview Process• 30-minute Zoom interview with Hiring Manager• 1.5-hour panel interview with onsite component required
