In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.KBR is seeing a Frontend Developer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.Why Join Us?Innovative Projects: KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.Collaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.Impactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.Work EnvironmentLocation: On-siteTravel Requirements: MinimalWorking Hours: StandardQualificationsRequired:Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline7+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on frontend engineeringStrong proficiency in Angular (2+) is required, including building and maintaining large-scale enterprise applicationsProven experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade web applications in complex environments (required)Expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and responsive, accessible web designExperience with state management and reactive programming (RxJS, NgRx, or similar)Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIsHands-on experience with Git-based source control (GitHub or similar)4+ years’ experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and ConfluenceProven ability to lead frontend development efforts, including owning stories, driving implementation, and guiding junior developersStrong understanding of scalable, maintainable frontend architecture for enterprise systemsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/deployment processesStrong collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams (backend, DevOps, product)Local to Los Angeles area (or willing to relocate)DesiredExperience with React or other modern frameworks (secondary to Angular)Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as D3.jsExperience developing secure applications for government or regulated industriesKnowledge of secure development best practices and compliance requirementsExperience optimizing performance for high-traffic, data-intensive applicationsFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization toolsSwift / iOS development experience is a plusExperience integrating AI/ML or LLM-driven features into frontend applicationsStrong documentation skills and adherence to coding standards and UI best practicesBasic Compensation: $126,000 - $138,000 in CaliforniaThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Ready to Make a Difference?
