Accounting Manager or Supervisor/Lead

Well-established and growing international distribution company is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager or Supervisor/Lead to join their finance team. This individual will oversee daily accounting operations, support financial reporting activities, supervise accounting staff, and partner cross-functionally with operations, customer service, and leadership teams.This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and wants visibility within a stable, growth-oriented organization.Key Responsibilities:• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities• Support month-end and year-end close processes• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules• Supervise and mentor accounting support staff• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting• Manage collections activities, aging receivables, and customer account discrepancies• Support sales and use tax compliance activities• Partner with internal departments to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies• Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requests• Analyze financial data and identify process improvement opportunitiesQualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience• Prior supervisory or management experience required• Strong understanding of GAAP and operational accounting practices• Experience within manufacturing, distribution, medical device, consumer products, or related operational environments preferred• Advanced Excel skills required• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software strongly preferred• Experience with sales tax platforms, expense management systems, and reporting tools is a plusDesired Background:• Hands-on accounting leadership experience• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines• Experience improving processes and supporting operational accounting functions• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skillsAdditional Information:• Stable and growing organization• Collaborative team environment• Opportunity for visibility and long-term growth• Competitive compensation and benefits package
