Internet / Web Architect

Role: Internet/Web Architect Location: Tallahassee, FLREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSFive (5) to seven (7) years of IT work experience with demonstrated knowledge in:Architecture designSoftware developmentDatabase management systemsSystems integration in multi-platform environmentsKnowledge of and experience with State of Florida information technology standards and processesProficiency in Microsoft C#, .NET, MVC, jQuery, and Responsive DesignProficiency with Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with OracleExperience with Microsoft AzureExperience with Visual Studio 2012 or laterExperience using HTMLProficiency with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Unit Testing methodologiesExperience working in Waterfall and/or Agile development environmentsStrong communication and validation skillsExperience with IT systems, processes, methodologies, and their direct implementation in projectsExperience defining web architectures and enterprise-level designExperience working on multiple projects as a Project Leader or Subject Matter Expert (SME)Goals-oriented, proactive team player with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced professional environmentExcellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to gain support from a wide variety of stakeholdersCritical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, capable of making independent decisions within area of responsibility and expertisePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and VisioKnowledge of PowerPoint and SharePointExperience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKSAt a minimum, the Consultant(s) shall perform the following tasks:Follow DOS IT processes and coordinate with DOS IT staff to ensure compliance with standardsGather business requirements and translate them into Internet/Web architecture to achieve business objectivesEnsure proposed systems are fully compatible and integrated with:Existing software programsHardware environmentsInternal systems within the DepartmentExternal users and business partnersAnalyze assigned specifications and perform planning, design, and solution developmentUtilize appropriate Internet/Intranet/Extranet architecture processes supporting a wide range of contentDesign and develop prototypesDevelop system design deliverablesDevelop application systems deliverablesProduce implementation deliverablesOversee and participate in code reviewsMaintain detailed accounting of hours worked on tasksParticipate in daily stand-up meetingsDELIVERABLESDevelop standardsDevelop proceduresDevelop documentationAssist in day-to-day network functionsProvide a monthly timesheet detailing hours worked by the Vendor on assigned tasks
