We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Lead/Software Architect to drive the design and delivery of scalable cloud-native solutions within a fast-paced engineering organization. The candidate will work closely with product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex business goals into technically sound solutions, provide hands-on development guidance, conduct code reviews, and ensure high standards for scalability, security, and code quality in an Agile environment.ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & Architecture: Lead high-level design discussions. You will be responsible for translating business needs into robust technical blueprints, ensuring best practices in microservices and cloud-native patterns.Strategic Planning (PI Planning): Represent the engineering organization during Program Increment (PI) planning. You’ll help estimate complexity, identify dependencies, and ensure the roadmap is technically feasible.Technical Oversight: Provide "boots-on-the-ground" leadership for the development team. You will conduct deep-dive code reviews, unblock developers, and maintain a high bar for code quality and security.Story Refinement: Partner with Product Owners to take "big ideas" and break them down into actionable, well-defined technical stories. You ensure the "how" is clear before the "what" enters a sprint.Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key consultant in both technical and business forums. You must be able to explain the "why" behind technical debt to business stakeholders and the "why" behind business pivots to engineers.RequirementsCloud Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We look for mastery in services like GKE (Kubernetes), Pub/Sub, Cloud Spanner/SQL, and Dataflow.Backend Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Java (Spring Boot ecosystem). You should be well-versed in reactive programming, concurrency, and JVM tuning.Design Patterns: A strong command of distributed systems, RESTful API design, and event-driven architecture.Location: This is a full-time, onsite position in Atlanta, GA. Local presence is required for high-bandwidth collaboration and whiteboarding sessions.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar.
