Behind every life-changing program, groundbreaking treatment, and family supported through difficult times are generous donors who believe in our mission.We are seeking a relationship-focused, organized, and creative Donor Relations Manager to help strengthen those connections and create meaningful experiences that inspire continued support for Driscoll Children’s Hospital.Responsibilities:As the Donor Relations Manager, you will lead donor stewardship and engagement efforts while overseeing fundraising events and donor communications throughout the year. Responsibilities include:Building strong relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community supportersEnsuring donors are thanked appropriately and kept informed on the impact of their giftsIncreasing donor retention through meaningful stewardship and engagementManaging donor communications including thank-you letters, impact reports, birthday/sympathy/holiday cards, and recognition materialsPlanning donor appreciation activities and overseeing fundraising eventsSupervising the Special Events Coordinator, Development Intern, and volunteers supporting events and donor engagementPartnering with hospital leadership, Marketing/Communications, and various departments to coordinate donor-related messaging and activitiesTracking donor communications, event logistics, and follow-up activitiesTraveling to Driscoll locations for large- and small-scale events and donor activitiesOccasionally working evenings and weekends for donor meetings and community eventsSignature Events You’ll Oversee:This role plays an important part in coordinating and supporting several beloved community fundraising events in Corpus Christi and Rio Grande Valley (RGV) areas, including:Fiesta de los NiñosSinger Songwriter ShowcaseSouth Texas Cattlemen’s RoundupPlanned large-scale fundraiser in 2027 in the RGVSmaller events such as ribbon cuttings, donor appreciation events, and hospital celebrationsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of two years of professional experience in fundraising, event planning, public relations, marketing, or communications.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/NXT and Microsoft ExcelPrior non-profit, hospital, or higher education experience transferable to donor relationsExperience drafting personalized communications on behalf of leadershipLanguages
