Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Hybrid EligibleAbout the RoleHL Mando America Corp is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our HL Mechatronics operations in Auburn, Michigan.This role serves as the primary HR partner for engineering, manufacturing, and operational functions, providing both strategic and hands-on HR leadership across talent management, organizational development, employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, and compliance.The HRBP will partner closely with business leaders and employees to align people strategies with operational and organizational goals within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing anoengineering environment. This position requires a collaborative, proactive HR professional capable of balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day employee support while helping drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and business growth.Key ResponsibilitieStrategic HR PartnershipServe as the primary HR business partner supporting engineering, manufacturing, and operational teamPartner with leadership to align workforce strategy, organizational structure, and talent planning with business objectiveSupport workforce planning, succession planning, organizational design, and employee development initiativesAct as a trusted advisor to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, employee relations, and organizational mattersBuild strong working relationships across departments to support collaboration, engagement, and operational effectivenessPerformance Management & Employee DevelopmentPartner with managers to establish performance expectations, goals, and KPI alignmentProvide coaching and guidance related to employee performance management, feedback, and development conversationSupport performance improvement plans, corrective action processes, employee documentationAssist with leadership development initiatives, employee training programs, and career development planningPromote employee growth, retention, and organizational capability developmentEmployee Relations & ComplianceManage employee relations matters, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and employee concerns in a timely and professional mannerEnsure compliance with federal, state, local employment laws and internal company policiesMaintain strong working knowledge of employment regulations and HR best practices within manufacturing and engineering environmentsSupport risk mitigation / recommend proactive HR solutions to minimize organizational riskPartner with management to foster a positive, professional, accountable workplace cultureHR Operations & Process ImprovementSupport HR operations, HRIS administration, reporting, policy implementation, and employee lifecycle processesRecommend and implement HR process improvements and operational efficienciesSupport compensation planning, market benchmarking, and workforce analytics initiativesMonitor labor market trends, hiring activity, workforce needs to support talent planningAssist with headcount planning, budgeting, and organizational forecasting activitiesChange Management & Organizational SupportLead and support organizational change initiatives, restructuring efforts, process implementation projectsServe as a change agent supporting leaders / employees through organizational transitionsSupport employee engagement initiatives, retention strategies, and workplace culturePromote a high-performance, collaborative, continuous improvement work environmentQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience required\Prior HR experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, automotive, or technical operations environments strongly preferredExperience partnering with leadership teams and operational stakeholders requiredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and HR best practicesExperience supporting employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolutionAbility to influence and build credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to manage sensitive and confidential information professionallyStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesExperience supporting organizational change and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindsetLegal RequirementsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipSupervisory ResponsibilityProvide leadership and support to the HR USA-2 teamWorking ConditionsPrimarily office-based environment with periodic travel to company locations as requiredOccasional exposure to manufacturing, engineering, and technical operational environmentsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periodsAbility to travel domestically as requireWork Schedule & TravelHybrid remote work schedule eligible at management discretionFlexible working hours as business needs requireUp to 15% travelCompensation & BenefitsHL Mando America Corp offers a competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
