Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Prep Cook/Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting food preparation, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen environment. Duties Assist in preparing ingredients according to recipes, including slicing, chopping, and portioning food items using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Support the cooking process by following established menu plans and adhering to recipe specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, dishwashers, and other culinary tools Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and food prep surfaces in accordance with food safety standards Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to prevent contamination and maintain hygiene standards Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff through clear communication to support smooth workflow and timely meal delivery Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with food industry safety standards, including food safety management and safe food handling practices Experience in restaurant or catering environments demonstrating knowledge of food preparation and service processes is valuable but not necessary.
