Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for all aspects of human resources practices and processes for a privately owned organization of approximately 100 employees. This role serves as both a partner to leadership and a hands-on resource for employees, ensuring compliance, supporting company culture, and driving effective people management practices.Responsibilities Employee RelationsServe as the primary point of contact for employee relations mattersInvestigate and resolve workplace issues, complaints, and conflictsPromote a positive, respectful, and productive work environmentAdvise managers on employee performance, discipline, and engagement Recruitment and StaffingManage fullcycle recruiting (job postings, sourcing, interviewing, hiring)Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needsEnsure a smooth and effective onboarding processMaintain job descriptions and organizational structure Compliance and Policy ManagementEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment lawsMaintain and update employee handbook and HR policiesOversee recordkeeping (personnel files, I9s, etc.)Manage audits and reporting requirements Compensation and BenefitsAdminister employee benefits programs (health, retirement, leave)Process payroll on a biweekly basisConduct market research to maintain competitive compensation practices Performance ManagementImplement and manage performance review processesCoach managers on goal setting, feedback, and developmentSupport employee development and training initiatives HR Operations and SystemsMaintain HRIS and employee data integrityStreamline HR processes for efficiency and scalabilityQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or manager roleStrong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesHR certification (SHRMCP, SHRMSCP, or PHR/SPHR) is a plusKey CompetenciesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProblemsolving and conflict resolution abilityHigh level of discretion and integrityAbility to balance strategic thinking with handson executionOrganizational and time management skills
