Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a financial services organization, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining reporting solutions, analyzing business performance trends, and supporting data-driven decision-making across collections and remarketing functions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical reporting solutions and drive continuous improvement in reporting processes.Job DutiesDevelop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports to support business operationsAnalyze business results to identify trends, anomalies, and potential root causesPerform data validation and quality checks to ensure report accuracy and integrityTranslate business requirements into technical specifications, including metrics, filters, and data structuresTroubleshoot and resolve reporting defects and data discrepanciesCollaborate with stakeholders to define reporting needs and prioritize deliverablesAutomate manual reporting processes using BI and data toolsSupport datamart testing, validation, and ongoing optimization effortsSkills Required:Must have 3+ years in a Business Analyst role working with SQL for data querying and report developmentHands-on experience with reporting tools such as Cognos, Power BI, or TableauExperience using SAS or similar data analysis toolsExperience with MS Access or comparable database toolsAbility to create and optimize queries across multiple data sourcesExperience with data validation, testing, and quality assurance processesExperience supporting collections, recovery, or financial services operationsFamiliarity with datamart structures and data modeling conceptsExperience automating reports and improving runtime efficiencyExposure to tools such as SQL Workbench or similar environmentsExperience with Python for data analysis or automationKnowledge of KPI tracking and operational performance metrics
