Software Test Development Engineer

Position: Software Test Development EngineerLocation: Remote (Preferred in San Diego, CA or PST)Duration: 6 Months (Contract-to-Hire)Job DescriptionAs a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will work with a team of SDETs globally, to find ways to automate manual processes, maximize test infrastructure usage and speed up testing. You will build software tools like dashboards, data parsers, Automated UI flows, data analysis tools etc. to drive automated test infrastructure that would run 24/7 globally. You will report to the V&V Engineering manager and will be responsible for developing the Automation for Validation of new features released in the client SDK.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with SDK dev Engineering to gather requirements and design the required Automated test suites for features in the SDKWork with other engineers on Designing, developing, debugging and maintaining automated tests for mobile SDK testing (Android and iOS)Develop automation using XCUITest and/or Espresso for native testing on Android and iOS devicesDevelop tests in Java and Swift for validating APIs in the SDKUse Appium to develop UI automation and integrate with APIs to Record test results and TestRailEngage in processes and mechanisms (Code reviews, CI/CD, Unit testing, Code coverage etc.) to ensure the team produces high quality code with required documentationDevelop automation solutions to speed up test execution and data analysis for the Verification and Validation teamsRequired:Strong coding skills in Java (Android) or Swift (iOS)Experience with Java/Kotlin and/or Swift/XCUITtest automation for mobile Android and iOS devicesExperience using Appium for automation and mobile App testingExperience using Testrail for test records and Jira for defect trackingEducation & Years of Exp:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer science, computer engineering or Electrical Engineering3 years (T2) to 10 years (T3) of experiencePreferred:Python automationFamiliarity with Cloud services (AWS/GCP)Medical device testing or development experienceAbout Us: Established in 2004, SPECTRAFORCE® is one of the largest and fastest-growing diversity-owned staffing firms in the US.
