How You Will Make an Impact:
Specialty Responsibilities (Formulation):
Design and optimize formulations using specialized knowledge in chemistry, materials science, pharmaceutical principles, and clinical lifecycle requirements.
Develop and improve formulations by evaluating performance, stability, process parameters, and manufacturing techniques to ensure robust product design.
Plan and execute experiments targeted at challenging formulation attributes and to ensure informative outcomes across multiple programs.
Base formulation design on scientific fundamentals and phase-appropriate absorption modeling, including pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) and physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) approaches where appropriate.
Essential Functions (Core Responsibilities):
Develop and execute scientific plans independently, applying deep subject-matter knowledge to drive successful outcomes
Lead small teams or direct individual contributors by setting priorities and guiding daily technical execution
Adjust workstreams in response to dynamic project requirements, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines
Assess complex scientific issues using analytical techniques and propose variations in approach to improve processes and results
Integrate business context and client expectations into technical decisions; anticipate needs and communicate program-level insights
Apply regulatory expertise to maintain compliant practices and support documentation and audit readiness
Collaborate across internal departments and external partners to resolve scientific and operational challenges through persuasive communication and targeted mentoring
Present sophisticated technical data in clear, impactful formats tailored to varied audiences; support risk assessments and technical advisory roles
Innovate within workstreams by adapting existing methods, proposing novel solutions, and leading small-scale continuous improvement initiatives
What You Will Bring to the Role:
Education:
Minimum Required: BS/BA in chemistry, engineering, pharmaceuticals, or related field
Preferred: MS/PhD in chemistry, engineering, pharmaceuticals, or related field
Experience:
Minimum Required: 6 plus years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with a focus on formulation and process design or closely related field
Will Accept: MS/PhD minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with a focus on formulation and process design or closely related field
