The successful candidate will be tasked with the strategic and executive leadership of all lending operations, with a focus on expanding the lending footprint outside the local region. This role requires a professional with a strong background in statewide originations, particularly in major metro markets, and established connections in those areas. The SVP will be responsible for the recruitment, training, and management of mortgage loan officers, as well as collaborating with the leadership team to implement corporate culture, strategic plans, and budgets. Key responsibilities also include overseeing the lending operating department, leading efforts to improve business unit performance, and ensuring compliance with quality standards, laws, and regulations.Applicants for the SVP Mortgage Lending position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree (preferred), at least 5 years of senior management experience in the mortgage industry, and a minimum of 10 years of technical experience in mortgage lending operations. The role demands a candidate with excellent leadership and communication skills, a working knowledge of various loan types, and the ability to lead a team in problem-solving and decision-making. Experience with the Encompass platform is preferred.
