Vice President, Financial Operations
Job descriptionPosition Description:We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Financial Operations to join our Executive Leadership Team at a fast-growing Internet Services Provider backed by a premier digital infrastructure PE fund. This role will oversee the company's core financial and operational support functions, including Accounting, Procurement, Warehouse Operations, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).The VP of Financial Operations will play a critical role in driving financial performance, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining capital discipline, and supporting long-term strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, operationally grounded, and experienced in capital-intensive, infrastructure-driven environments.Duties and Responsibilities:Executive Leadership & Strategy• Serve as a key member of the Executive Team, contributing to strategic planning, capital allocation decisions, and company-wide performance management.• Partner with the CEO and executive peers to drive sustainable growth, operational scalability, and financial discipline.• Provide financial insight and strategic guidance for network expansion, infrastructure investments, and new market entry initiatives.Financial Planning & Analysis• Lead company-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.• Develop and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate capital investments, pricing strategies, and return on invested capital.• Oversee long-range financial planning aligned with strategic objectives.• Deliver detailed BvA analyses and actionable insights to the Executive Team.Project-Level Debt & Capital Management• Track and manage debt at the project level, ensuring covenant compliance and transparent reporting across capital deployments.• Manage all Treasury functions, including maintaining an up to date 13-week cash flow.• Develop reporting structures that align debt obligations with project cash flows and capital efficiency metrics.• Support refinancing initiatives, lender reporting, and capital structure optimization.KPI Reporting & Board Presentations• Develop and oversee reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) including subscriber growth, ARPU, churn, EBITDA, capital expenditure efficiency, and project ROI.• Prepare comprehensive board presentations, executive dashboards, and financial reporting packages.• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for board members and investors.Accounting & Financial Controls• Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, financial reporting, revenue recognition, audits, and compliance.• Ensure strong internal controls, GAAP compliance, and financial governance.• Lead audit processes and manage external auditor relationships.Procurement & Warehouse Operations• Oversee procurement strategy to ensure cost-effective sourcing of network equipment, materials, and services.• Implement vendor management and contract optimization strategies.• Supervise warehouse operations, inventory controls, and supply chain efficiency to support network builds and service delivery.• Align procurement and inventory planning with capital project timelines.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time, with or without notice.Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA and/or CPA preferred).• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within telecommunications, infrastructure, utilities, or other capital-intensive industries.• Proven experience leading Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, and operational finance teams.• Advanced financial modeling expertise, including project finance and debt structuring.• Experience managing project-level capital tracking and infrastructure investment analysis.• Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes.• Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting materials to Boards of Directors and lenders.• Exceptional analytical, communication, and executive presence skills.Physical Demands and Work Environment• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times• Will require travel as needed up to 10%About Lyte FiberEstablished in 2023 and headquartered in Houston, TX, Lyte Fiber, LLC ("Lyte") is dedicated to bringing the fastest, most reliable home and business fiber optic internet to Texas and beyond.
