Grinding & Deburring Operator
Cornell Pump Company is hiring a hands-on Manufacturing Production Worker (Grinding and Deburring Operator) for our 2nd shift team. This is a physical, shop-floor role working with metal parts used in industrial pump systems. This is a great opportunity to build valuable manufacturing skills while contributing to work you can see and take pride in every day.If you've worked in warehouses, factories, construction, automotive shops, or any job that requires physical work and attention to detail, this could be a strong fit.Location: Clackamas, ORPay: $22-$25/hr DOE + $1 shift differentialSchedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Perform manual grinding using air-powered hand tools to remove material and meet balance specificationsFollow work instructions from the "work at machine" schedule or production control directionInterpret and follow shop routers and Non-Conformity TicketsUse precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, scales, and tape measuresInspect finished workpieces to ensure they meet required specificationsConduct basic machine maintenance, including monitoring and maintaining fluid and oil levelsReport equipment issues or malfunctions promptlyMaintain a clean, organized, and debris-free work areaOperate forklifts and other lifting devices as neededWhat We're Looking For:High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferredAbility to read and follow work instructions and technical documentationFamiliarity with precision measuring tools and manufacturing processesStrong attention to detail and quality controlAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsAbility to wear a respirator during your shiftWhat We Offer:Join a team-oriented manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, and hands-on work.
