This role is ideal for a student with a strong foundation in accounting, finance, or data analytics who is eager to apply their skills to real-world business challenges.The intern will work with cross-functional data sets to help generate insights, improve reporting, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):Financial Data & AnalysisSupport financial reporting, data validation, and analysisAssist in identifying trends, variances, and key financial insightsHelp maintain and improve financial dashboards and reporting toolsHR & Recruiting AnalyticsAnalyze recruiting and workforce data including: Turnover, Retention, and Time-to-fillAssist in building and maintaining recruiting and HR dashboardsIdentify trends and provide insights to support talent strategiesMarketing & Engagement DataSupport analysis of marketing performance and engagement metricsAssist in tracking campaign effectiveness and identifying trendsHelp develop dashboards to visualize marketing dataPhilanthropy & Impact DataAnalyze donors, campaign, and fundraising dataSupport reporting on philanthropic impact and engagementAssist in creating dashboards to track giving trends and outcomesData Visualization & ReportingBuild and maintain dashboards using tools such as Tableau or Power BITranslate complex data into clear, actionable insightsPartner with team members to improve data accessibility and reporting efficiencyREQUIREMENTS:Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or master's program Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics / Data Management, Business Analytics or related fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with data visualization tools such as: Tableau or Power BIProficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)Ability to work with large datasets and identify trendsStrong attention to detail and data accuracyAbility to communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiencesPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Rising senior undergraduate or graduate studentExposure to SQL or other data querying toolsExperience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks)Interest in FP&A, business analytics, or strategyEmployment and Benefits package for this job posting is offered through the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc.Employment Requirement:* Ability to pass a pre-employment background check including Criminal Record check, Drug Screening, motor vehicle record (MVR) and reference check according to company policy.* Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.This job posting is subject to change at any time.The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta offers excellent benefits and career opportunities as part of our culture of excellence.
