Technical and Trade SchoolsBuilding Equipment ContractorsVentilation, Heating, Air-Conditioning, and Commercial Refrigeration Equipment ManufacturingProfessional and Commercial Equipment and Supplies Merchant WholesalersHardware, and Plumbing and Heating Equipment and Supplies Merchant WholesalersControls Technician / ProgrammerFull-Time | $30-$45/hr + Full BenefitsWe're looking to bring on a Controls Technician / Programmer to support HVAC and building automation projects, focused on system design, programming, and commissioning.This role is a solid mix of hands-on technical work and project support - working with control systems from design through startup, while coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to make sure everything is installed and operating correctly.Good opportunity for someone with strong Metasys experience who wants to continue building within BAS/BMS systems in a stable environment with long-term growth.What you'll be doing:Develop hardware selections and control system designs based on project requirementsCreate flow diagrams, sequences of operation, bills of material, network layouts, and electrical schematicsProgram HVAC control systems using established standardsSupport submittals by coordinating drawings, equipment schedules, and technical documentationOrder and track materials, and coordinate with factory builds and project schedulesAssist with system startup, controller loading, and full system commissioningTroubleshoot issues alongside subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper system operationCapture field changes and update as-built drawings and programmingSupport customer handoff, including documentation and basic training on system operationKeep project teams informed on progress, issues, and timelinesHandle standard project documentation (timesheets, reports, etc.)Maintain strong focus on safety across all workWhat they're looking for:Required:~3+ years working with building automation / HVAC controlsHands-on experience installing or commissioning Metasys systems (system-level controllers)Experience with Metasys tools like CCT, SCT, RAC schedules, and VisioStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systemsSolid technical aptitude and comfort working with design/programming toolsNice to have:Associate's or Bachelor's degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science), or 5+ years in HVAC/controlsBroader experience with control system design, commissioning, or building system integrationComp & Perks:$30-$45/hr depending on experienceFull benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.)Paid training + growth opportunitiesCompany vehicle (where applicable)Strong long-term stability with a well-established organization
