We are seeking a Food & Beverage Senior Market Leader to provide national leadership for strategy, client engagement, and growth across Mead & Hunt’s Food & Beverage market.This role is responsible for developing and executing market strategy, expanding and sustaining relationships with national and regional food and beverage manufacturers, and aligning pursuits with scalable delivery capabilities across the firm.The Food & Beverage Senior Market Leader serves as the strategic market owner for Mead & Hunt’s Food & Beverage business. This role is not a project delivery position, but a market‑facing leadership role focused on client strategy, pursuit governance, industry presence, and growth execution—working in close partnership with group leadership and delivery teams.Travel will be a normal and expected part of this role.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Strategy & Business Development LeadershipDevelop and execute a national Food & Beverage market strategy aligned with Mead & Hunt’s long‑range strategic and business plansIdentify, prioritize, and advance growth opportunities with national and regional food and beverage manufacturersLead or support go/no‑go decisions, pursuit strategies, teaming approaches, and client interview preparation for major pursuitsMonitor market trends, regulatory drivers, and client capital investment priorities impacting the food and beverage industryBuild and maintain senior‑level relationships with clients, industry partners, and strategic teaming firmsSupport targeted marketing campaigns, thought leadership, and conference participationPursuit & Delivery AlignmentPartner closely with engineering, architecture, and construction delivery teams to align pursuits with execution capabilitiesSupport development of realistic scopes, staffing plans, schedules, and fee strategies, including engineering‑led EPC delivery modelsParticipate in early engagement and pre‑project planning to ensure continuity from pursuit through executionServe as Client Manager for select key food and beverage clients during pursuit and early project phases, as appropriateCollaboration & LeadershipWork across Mead & Hunt service lines to cross‑sell and integrate multidisciplinary servicesMentor and guide market leaders, associate market leaders, and business development staffProvide quality assurance and “red team” leadership on proposals and major pursuitsSupport marketing initiatives including conferences, client events, industry panels, and thought leadership activitiesClient Engagement & Industry PresenceRepresent Mead & Hunt at industry conferences, client meetings, and Food & Beverage eventsSupport client satisfaction efforts, pursuit debriefs, and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain accurate CRM data and market visibility across pursuits, relationships, and client activitiesThe Successful Candidate Will HaveBachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, construction management, or related disciplineMinimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years within the Food & Beverage industryORIf no degree; at least 14 years of relevant marketing experience, including at least 6 years within the Food & Beverage industry The Preferred Candidate Will HaveProfessional engineering (PE) license or relevant professional certification20 years of relevant experience including at least 10 years within the Food & Beverage industry is preferredDemonstrated experience working within AEC and engineering‑led EPC environmentsProven ability to develop client strategies and lead major pursuitsExperience working with national food and beverage manufacturersStrong understanding of process facilities, industrial systems, and EPC execution modelsExperience leading or collaborating with multidisciplinary project teamsStrong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skillsWillingness and ability to travel regularlyMead & Hunt proudly offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid sick leave, parental leave, a 401K plan with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, and an employee assistance program.
