Job Title: Database Infrastructure EngineerLocation: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)Interview: Either Web Cam or In PersonLocal Candidates Only: Must be local to the Metro Atlanta areaJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Database Infrastructure Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments. In this role, you will manage database infrastructure, automate administrative tasks, monitor system performance, and ensure high availability of mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, Azure Cloud, PowerShell, SSIS, and database automation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, provision, and manage database infrastructure, including Azure Cloud services and Windows Servers.Ensure compliance with data governance, security standards, and user access management.Design, implement, and monitor automated database jobs, maintenance tasks, and ETL workflows.Develop and maintain PowerShell, SSIS, and other automation scripts for deployments, backups, monitoring, and health checks.Monitor database performance, optimize queries, manage indexing strategies, and resolve performance bottlenecks.Troubleshoot hardware, software, database, and network-related issues.Maintain high availability and disaster recovery (DR) environments, including failover testing.Provide production support for mission-critical systems as needed.Collaborate with application development and IT teams to support application environments, IIS administration, security, and performance optimization.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.7+ years of experience managing enterprise database environments.Strong expertise with:Microsoft SQL ServerWindows ServerMicrosoft Azure Cloud7+ years of experience with PowerShell and SSIS scripting for automation.Strong understanding of storage systems, network architecture, and cloud infrastructure.Experience with PowerApps, Power BI Services, and Power Automate.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and .NET applications.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in production environments.Experience with database performance tuning, monitoring, backup, recovery, and maintenance.Strong knowledge of disaster recovery and high-availability solutions.Required CertificationsMicrosoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.Microsoft SQL Server Certification (or equivalent relevant database certification).Required SkillsMicrosoft SQL ServerWindows ServerMicrosoft AzurePowerShellSSISPowerAppsPower BI ServicesPower AutomateCI/CDDevOps.NETIIS AdministrationDatabase Performance TuningBackup & RecoveryDisaster Recovery (DR)ETL AutomationInfrastructure ManagementStorage & Network ArchitectureProduction Support
