The System Administrator will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology systems. Responsibilities:
Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers.
Configures and manages Linux/RHEL and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Monitor daily operations of applications and infrastructure
Perform system maintenance tasks including patches and updates
Troubleshoot and resolve application technical issues
Assist with user account management and security administration
Support system backups and recovery procedures
Help maintain system documentation and operational procedures
Participate in testing during upgrades and implementations
Generate system reports and analyze performance metrics
Respond to user support requests related to system functionality
Basic Qualifications:
4 years of experience in Information Technology; Systems Administration
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college university is required. Five years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Meeting DoD 8570 level 2 qualifications, which would be any of the following certifications:
Security+ CE
CCNA Security
CySA+
GICSP
GSEC
CND:EC-Council's Certified Network Defender (CND)
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required
