Apparel Designer - Sleepwear & Loungewear

OverviewPlacement Type:TemporarySalary:$40-43 HourlyStart Date:May 11, 2026We are seeking a talented Apparel Designer to create commercially viable, brand-right designs within a sleepwear and loungewear category. This role is responsible for taking seasonal product from concept through production, delivering thoughtful, trend-relevant designs that align with business strategy, customer needs, and brand aesthetic.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing sleepwear or lounge product categories such as pajamas, sleep sets, robes, and soft comfort apparel. This is essential for success in the role.What You'll DoDesign seasonal sleepwear and loungewear collections from concept through final productionCreate detailed sketches, CADs, and technical flats using Adobe IllustratorDevelop tech packs with clear construction, fabric, and fit specificationsCollaborate closely with cross-functional partners including product development, merchandising, marketing, and vendorsParticipate in fittings and refine designs based on feedback and wear testingResearch trends, materials, and competitors to inform design directionMaintain accurate design documentation including linesheets and PLM systemsEnsure designs meet aesthetic, quality, cost, and timeline requirementsWhat We're Looking For4+ years of apparel or fashion design experience in a retail or consumer brand environmentDirect experience designing sleepwear and/or loungewear products (required)Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for technical CAD creationExperience developing tech packs and working through product development cyclesSolid understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabric behaviorExperience working with vendors and cross-functional teams through productionAbility to respond to feedback and iterate quickly in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple styles and deadlinesNice to HaveExperience in intimates, lingerie, or soft apparel categoriesStrong hand sketching skillsExperience with PLM systemsKnowledge of textile development, lace, or print designStrong trend research and fashion history knowledgeWhat Sets You ApartStrong organizational skills and ability to manage complex seasonal assortmentsPositive, proactive, and collaborative mindsetAbility to balance creativity with commercial product needsStrong communication and presentation skills in design reviewsImportant Note Candidates must have direct sleepwear or loungewear design experience.
