NDT Technician

In this position, you will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing on aircraft sheet metal parts, ensuring they meet both internal standards and client specifications. By providing precise inspection results and maintaining technical documentation, you will play a key role in supporting our Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering departments. This is a full-time, onsite position operating on a first-shift schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Your Contributions Execute FPI, radiographic, and digital X-ray evaluations on intricate components to help maintain high quality standards for our customers. Develop and maintain NDT technique sheets while reviewing and authorizing modifications to FPI and X-ray testing procedures. Operate digital X-ray equipment and record inspection results to ensure data integrity and project success. Review NDT workflows and engage with clients to supply the necessary documentation for process validation. Confirm that parts meet all dimensional specifications by utilizing precision tools like micrometers and calipers. Identify manufacturing process issues and suggest improvements to ensure all customer requirements are met before production proceeds. Support team excellence by auditing the performance of other NDT personnel and providing oversight when necessary. Maintain accurate records within our timekeeping and manufacturing planning software. Required Qualifications Completion of high school or an equivalent educational program. Status as a U.S. Citizen. Possession of verified NDT hours and current certifications in digital X-ray, radiographic, and FPI methods. Demonstrated expertise in utilizing digital radiography and X-ray inspection techniques. Proficiency in analyzing engineering sketches, blueprints, and manufacturing planning documents. Fundamental understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Competence in shop mathematics and the application of precision measurement instruments. Ability to perform thorough inspections on custom or complex components across various NDT stations. Physical capacity to handle tasks involving balancing, climbing, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds. Additional Skills Familiarity with standard forming and welding operations. Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) protocols. Background in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
