Reporting directly to the Assistant Superintendent, the Director is responsible for ensuring high-quality instructional practices, curriculum alignment, and program compliance for Pre-Kindergarten classrooms.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, direction, and oversight for all district Pre-K instructional programs.Support the Assistant Superintendent in advancing district priorities related to early childhood education and student achievement.Ensure Pre-K curriculum alignment with Mississippi Early Learning Standards and district expectations.Design, coordinate, and deliver high-quality professional learning for Pre-K teachers and instructional staff.Monitor classroom instructional practices and provide feedback, coaching, and support.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and grant requirements related to Pre-K programs.Collaborate with principals, coordinators, and external partners to enhance early childhood programming.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent.Required QualificationsValid Mississippi 486 Administrator LicensePreferred QualificationsValid Mississippi Educator License with appropriate endorsement(s).Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field.Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in education, including experience in early childhood or Pre-K instruction.Knowledge of Mississippi Early Learning Standards and best practices in early childhood education.Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership, curriculum implementation, and professional learning.Strong background in data analysis, program evaluation, and continuous improvement.Experience working with grants or state/federal program compliance.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong instructional leadership and organizational skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, teachers, families, and community partners.Deep understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Commitment to equity, student success, and continuous improvement.Contract and Salary230 Days per yearSalary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and consistent with district administrative salary schedules
